Med-Trans Corporation is based out of Dallas, Texas, establishing their first air medical program back in 1982. Med-Trans specializes in helicopter air ambulance operations within the continental United States, providing vendor helicopter programs as well as stand alone bases throughout the country.
Our first and foremost commitment is to safety. Our excellent safety record, of which we are extremely proud of, is the result of our company wide emphasis on excellence of training, attention to detail, outstanding maintenance, and having people at all levels who take their work and safety procedures very seriously.
EMS aviation programs have grown tremendously since the mid-1980's. Overall, the majority of these programs have been hospital based and either owned by the hospital or have been vendor contract programs wherein the hospital provided everything except the helicopter, pilots, mechanics and fuel. Also, several helicopter operators have provided turnkey air ambulance operations, which may or may not be based at a hospital.
 Med-Trans Corporation uses some innovative, nontraditional approaches to the provision of air medical services in order to expand our market into under served areas where air ambulance services have a high potential for saving lives and increasing the patients chances for the best possible outcomes in their medical situations. |
